If you’re in immediate danger, please call 911
If it is safe to do so, you can also call our 24-hour support line. We are here to listen, help you assess your safety, and guide you toward the support you need.
What happens when you call
Reaching out can feel overwhelming. You don’t need the right words. You can just call.
Our support line is available 24/7. You’ll speak with a trained counsellor who will listen, support you, and help you think through your next steps.
This may include crisis support, safety planning, emotional support, or connecting you with helpful services.
All calls are confidential and will not appear on call display.
You can call whenever you’re ready.
Shelter Program
For those who need somewhere to go, My Friend’s House offers a safe place to land.
Our 24-hour emergency shelter provides a caring environment where women and children can rest, recover, and begin their next steps.
We support women experiencing abuse in many forms, including from partners, family members, caregivers, roommates, or landlords.
If our shelter is full, we will ensure support is provided until a safe alternative can be found.

Outreach Services
Support doesn’t begin and end at our doors.
Our outreach services are here for women who may not need shelter, but still need support or someone to talk to.
We offer one-on-one support that is flexible and centred around each individual’s needs, including emotional support, system navigation, and connections to community resources.
Safety Planning
Safety looks different for everyone.
We work alongside each individual to create a plan that reflects their situation, concerns, and priorities.
This may include thinking through risks, preparing for different scenarios, and identifying supports that create a greater sense of stability and control.
No pressure. No expectations. Just support, at your pace.
