When most of us hear the word abuse we think of something very extreme, such as punching or kicking. Of course this is abuse and is never an acceptable way of expressing anger or frustration, but abuse takes forms other than the physical.

The following is partial list of abuse techniques. Think about your relationship - how many of them are familiar to you? If you recognize 5 or more, you may be in an abusive relationship.

Physical

__ not taking responsibility for children

Environmental

Emotional/Verbal
